Virulence was an American hardcore punk/sludge metal band from Mission Viejo, California formed in 1985. The band released their debut and only album, If This Isn't a Dream... in 1989, which could be compared to My War-era Black Flag and early Melvins. Minus vocalist Ken Pucci, the band would become stoner rock/metal band Fu Manchu in 1990.
