VITRUVIUS is a progressive metal band from Mexico City, Mexico. At the end of 2006 Oskar Villarreal (guitar) and Tonio Tejeda, met Armando "Bjorn" Thamez (bass) when an old friend (Uriel Salinas) wanted to reunite members for a band called Erógena which Oskar and Tonio were part of back in 2003. Armando was very interested in this project. They started auditioning singers and Dulce Robles was selected from a group of excellent singers. They started composing some music and basic structures for the songs at Oskars home studio. By the end of March 2007, Dulce started writing lyrics for the songs, including all the ideas the band had.
During that year, the band composed most of the material and, when the songs were ready to be played on stage, they started accepting invitations to play in small local festivals, in places such as the Dada-X, a famous rock bar near to
