Viva is a German hard rock/heavy metal act founded in 1980 by Barbara Schenker, sister of Michael and Rudolf Schenker or Scorpions fame. They released their debut album Born to Rock in 1980.
Viva have gone though several periods of on/off activity in their career along with numerous line-up changes, including some incarnations of the band without founder Barbara Schenker, who left the band in 1983 and only rejoined in 2007. They are currently inactive as of 2012.
