Walpurgi is a black metal project from Sad1914 of Salzburg, Austria. Sad1914 has been recording since 1996 originally under the name of Wotan's Destiny, and a demo called Oskorei was released in 1997.
After releasing Oskorei, Wotan's Destiny underwent a name change to Walpurgi, with the first release under the new name being the Nationale Offensive EP of 1999. Walpurgi has proceeded to regularly release music mainly as demos, EPs and splits, including a full-length, Untersberg - Gegenschlag aus dem Alpenreich, in 2010.
