French progressive power metal band.
Formed in 2002 by former members of local groups, Weirdland officiates in a heavy metal, tinged with a touch of progressive.
Pat Jungrichter (vocals and guitar), Thierry Ventura (bass and vocals) and Thierry Delvaux (drums), have experience of local scenes as well as the most important scenes (they had the opportunity to play and open for "great monsters like Edguy, Iron savior or Oomph!).
The three musicians are mainly influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Manowar, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Symphony X, D. Borgir, Running Wild ... and many others, which can give a touch of "old school" to their music!
Their metal is not conceptual, but the heroic fantasy, medieval tales and mythology Indo-European are very present in their kingdom!
The group prefers to take audiences through its unreal worlds, rather than to depict the human misery and the eternal subjects such as war and society!
