Wench was a thrash metal band formed in 1988 by vocalist Yana Chupenko after her previous band P.M.S. (Pre-Metal Syndrome) disbanded. She disbanded them due to wanting to go in a more metal direction, P.M.S. playing heavy metal-influenced punk rock.
The band only released one studio album, titled A Tidy Sized Chunk, and a few demos before disbanding in 1993. Frontwoman Yana Chupenko went on to form a hard rock/alternative rock act, Shiny Mama, in 1998.
