The power trio, Wildfire consisting of Randy Love(guitars, vocals), Danny Jamison(lead vocals, bass) and Donny Martin(drums) formed in 1969 made thier home in Austin, Texas during while attending the University Of Texas during the fall and spring semesters and returned home to Laguna Beack, California during the summer.
The band started to record thier demo at the Beach Boy's studio but a Texas promoter persuaded them to finish it in Texas at the Josey Studios, home of Sonobeat Records. Produced by Sonobeat's owner, Bill Josy Sr. was "a work for hire" recording session where the band paid for the sessions on a hourly basis.
The album's originally pressing(200-1000?)first 100 demos sold out quickly at the Sound Spectrum, a record store in southern California and the owner begged for more copies and were given an additionl 100 copies. Copies of this demo have gone upwards to $1500USD.
