Wintaar is a Russian atmospheric black metal solo project by musician Евгений Пильников (Evgeniy Pilnikov), under the name Winter Vampyr, or WV. It is a continuation of his previous project, W. The name was changed in 2017 with the release of the self-titled album, the debut of the Wintaar name but the sixth for the project overall.
