Woodhawk are a stoner metal/hard rock trio from Calgary, Alberta in Canada.

Turner Midzain (g/v) and Mike Badmington (b/v) were elementary school friends that shared a passion for playing music. They played in various bands together until deciding to form Woodhawk in 2013. At first, a friend filled in on drums until they met Kevin Nelson who then became the band's permanent drummer.

Wood hawk released a self-titled EP in 2014 and then their full-length debut, "Beyond the Sun" in 2017. Their second album, "Violent Nature" was released in 2019.

Midzain claims that the band has a variety of musical influences including some that go outside of metal, but that they strive for a good riff and look to add some groove
