Woodtemple was founded in 1998 by Aramath who claims to be inspired by Graveland. He also claims to be a close friend of Graveland's main man Rob Darkin and goes far as to claim that Woodtemple's first three full-lengths were recorded in Darkin's studio. Woodtemple's music focuses more on the evocation of a dark and hateful atmosphere integrated into a set of nature and pagan related topics setting them among the pagan black metal movement.
