UK act WRATHCHILD, known as Wrathchild UK in the US, was formed in Evesham, England by Marc Angel (bass) and Phil Vokins (guitars) in 1980. Rocky Shades (vocals) and Brian Perry (drums) were soon recruited to fill out the free spots in the band, but just one year later Vokins and Parry both left. Replacements were found in the shape of Lance Rocket (guitars) and Eddie Starr (drums) though, both of them recruited from Medusa. This second line-up would remain in place until the band disbanded in 1990.
Following several demos, Wrathchild were signed by Bullet Records in 1983, and released the EP "Stackheel Strutt". Their full length début "Stakk Attack" followed in 1984. They released a couple of singles from this album, made a promotional video and managed to secure some good opening spots in the live circuit as well.
