Xp.Rätion was a death/grind band from Madrid, Spain. While the name Xp.Rätion was only in use from 1999 to 2000, the band's roots stretch back to 1994. The band's first name was Extrema Unción, but it was changed to Deathcuartizer later in 1994. In 1996, the band became Expiration. In 1999, guitarist Felix released a one man project split with Agathocles, which was supposed to go by the name Xp.Rätion, but he released it under the name Looking for an Answer, a band he continued afterward.
The band was in a period of transition, and a little confusion, and so the album "...Future?" was released under the names Expiration and Xp.Rätion, becuming the former's swansong and the latter's debut. A second Xp.Rätion album followed later in 1999.
