UK act YOUNG BLOOD started out under the moniker Civilian in 1981, but by the time they issued their sole contribution to the world of music in the shape of the EP "First Blood" in 1984 they had decided that Young Blood was a better suited band name.
Their EP was favourably received, and lead to the band being given the chance to open for Motorhead at Hammersmith Odeon. The band fell apart shortly after though. Stewart Goodchild (vocals, guitars) faded into obscurity, but drummer Andy Webb would later resurface in AOR acts Frozen Heart and Walk the Wire while bassist Dave Cadman released the solo album "Past Imperfect" in 2004.
