YTO Solreiser is an avant-garde metal band from Oslo, Norway. YTO Solreiser was formed in 2004 by drummer Karl-Magnus BJORRØY and guitarist Thomas WANG, originally with the intent of creating a heavily improvisational death metal group. An early demo led way to heavy local radio play and the slow but steady recruitment of several instrumentalists for the recording of their debut self-titled record, released in April 2009.
Describing their own sound as “Spaceprogpunk”, YTO Solreiser mix Metal, Grunge, Jazz, Pop, Drum n' bass and Ambient to create a sound that is complex and varied.
