UK act ZENITH was formed in January 1984 by Andy Sayers (guitars, vocals) and Cliff Evans (guitars), with Haydon Palmer (bass) and Ben Graves (drums) joining as temporary members. This version of the band held one concert and made 10-track demo tape.
In 1985 Palmer and Graves left, as Andrew Jamieson (bass) and Keith Townsend (drums) joined, and with a permanent line-up in place Zenith became more active in the live circuit. In 1986 they released their only official production, the single "Heavy Heart". Evans left the band later the same year, which lead to Jamieson taking over the guitar duties and Gary Townsend hooking up with the band to handle the bass guitar.
Zenith broke up in the spring of 1987, shortly after recording a planned second single that never saw the light of day.
