Zygote was a death/grind band from Preston, England. Formed by brothers Tim and Josh Cook, the band was supposed to be a blend of gore metal and old country/bluesy rock. Other members joined the band, but it didn't work, so the brothers remained a two piece band, with Tina Davis playing bass live.
The band garnered some interest in the north-west of England, often playing packed out gigs. Zygote released a demo and an EP, and recorded an album in 2006 tentatively called "Goresprayed". However, "Goresprayed has never been released, and the band has since broken up.
