Zyon is a melodic metalcore / melodic death metal band from San Miguel de Tucumán in Argentina.
This Argentinian outfit was formed in late 2001 by Aldo Zapata (guitars), Ramiro Blanco (guitars), Gabriel Zapata (vocals), Carlos Araoz (bass) and Matias Medina (drums). The band started playing live shows in 2002, and is still very much an active entity in the concert circuit, and have opened for well known local and international acts over the years.
Zyon issued its first EP "Fuego Interno" in 2003, but since then the band has suffered extensive line-up changes, which have halted its progress. In 2008 a new line-up was in place, with drummer Medina the only remaining original member. The rest of the band at this point in time was made up by Gustavo Guerrero (vocals), Santiago Bazán (guitars), Hugo Leturia (guitars, vocals) and Martín Barrionuevo (bass).
