Formed on August 6, 1991, just days before the Soviet Union dissolved, Изверг (Izverg, which means sadist, beast/monster) was a death/thrash metal band from Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. The band recorded two demos in the early 1990s, and was still active in 2005, but has since split up.
