Which band has evolved the concept of Hard Rock, transforming it into Heavy Metal? Some say Judas Priest... Who says Manowar... Who says Rainbow... Who says Irin Maiden... Who says Accept. At the end everyone has a part of reason. It is true, no offense, that none of the mentioned bands have invented Heavy Metal. And it is true that the mentioned bands are the heavy metal, at least for the masses.
"The Collection", a Castle Communication compilation about Accept, is my first contact with Accept. I've a copy for a copy but immediately Accept please me. First because Traditional Heavy Metal please me. Second because the music of Accept is good. Third because if you love the music written and played with love... And Accept wrote and played with love... And I love this type of flavor in music... So Accept have immediately won my heart! It is true that not all the songs in this compilation are True Heavy Metal. Some songs are 80's Hard Rock and these songs are not good at all, because too heavy for to be Hard Rock and too 70's for atmospheres, IMHO.
This compilation is a good purchase if you not know Accept music. First because sufficiently complete of all forms of Accept style. Second because with all (for me) the Accept's evergreen.
IMHO, "The Collection" is a good start to see if Accept is a band to put in his own Metal band discography.
