Metal beast...
Genre: NWoBHM ('B' for Belgian... you know, like Van Damme)
This stuff is quite good, I must say. While not super original, Acid really manage to blend in influences from the likes of Motorhead, more traditional metal, a bit of punk and the thrash metal scene that was emerging in the States as the time.
The first track "S.T.C." is a fast-paced Motorhead-like rocker, while the following track sounds like a simplified thrasged up version of Maiden's "Phantom of the Opera", and "Halloween Queen" is more in the vein of Judas Priest. This type of variation characterizes the entire album, which means that it will probably have wide appeal among fans of various old school types of metal.
Standout tracks are "Lost in Hell", "Warriors of the Dawn", "She Loves You" (not related to the Beatles song), and the semi-thrasher "Satan's Delivery". "Big Ben" is also worth mentioning, given that it is a hymn to metal, which is based on the melody that Big Ben in London strikes.
This album should be a hit with fans of Motorhead, early thrash metal and more hard-hitting traditional metal.
