AEROSMITH's first live album was released in 1978 and was certainly a good example of what you would expect at one of their shows. By the time i saw them in 1979 things had started to fall apart because of the rampant drug use, although to be honest i only remember the opening song. I played this cassette quite a bit in the early eighties. I mean it wasn't a favourite or anything and it certainly is far from perfect but these guys rip through some of their best material just like you would imagine they'd do in a mid seventies concert. The sound is raw but passable. "Sick As A Dog" is probably my favourite on here, it just resonates with me for some reason, like the sky opening up to sunshine. Weird. "Chip Away The Stone" and "Mamma Kin" round out my top three. In my opinion this is a worthwhile record to get for those who are fans of their earlier days.
