Another interesting inclusion in "True King Of Norway" (5 star compilation for merit). The music of Ancient is an essential rediscover the origin of Rock'n'Roll and this "Det glemte riket" smell also of Post Punk. In "True King Of Norway" booklet the cover that I note is a temple-tent (the kind you see in public parks) with a priest (probably death) shown from behind while playing a violin (if I'm good, the picture is small). This Ep is self released.
The first song present a typical acoustic Thrash intro and a good electric development. "Huldradans" is a mix between Thrash and pure die Hard Black metal, fact that please me. In truth the guitars are more than a simple grater, thing that I like, because the riffs are quite complicated also if too linear. Probably Ancient present the best music of "True King Of Norway" compilation because aged extremely well, but not with the best end result.
At the end... Great Ep with great music.
