Spawn of doom...
At long last, Chilean death metal veterans Atomic Aggressor release a full-length album in the form of "Sights of Suffering" released via Hell's Headbangers, the home of metal filth.
Atomic Aggressor is an Old School death metal band (with capital O and S), and that is exactly what the listener is treated to on their debut album. From beginning to end, the listener is bombarded with guttural growls on top of old-fashioned (here understood positively) guitar attacks akin to Deicide, Cannibal Corpse and the like. To this, add a healthy dose of death thrash, as in 'Sights of Suffering' and 'Faceless Torment'.
True to their death metal roots, the band throws frenzied, but melodic and somewhat technical guitar solos at you, and the production is, while not lo-fi, raw and rough-edged. This suits the aggressive music very well.
This album kicks ass. It should appeal to those who like what death metal sounded like in the early 1990s. It's simply a death metal attack from beginning to end with absolutely no weak points.
