Bai Bang is a Swedish glam act that's funnily released a new wave/disco feel debut, "Enemy Lines", in 1988 and then jumped ship to release a pop-metal/melodic rock album three years later. There are several good songs here such as the title track which had a nice commercial chorus, "Run To The End" which is a fantastic melodic rock piece, the semi-ballad "Heart's On Fire", and the best tune with catchy hooks and memorable chorus, "Arrow".
Diddi Kastenholt is a decent singer, his voice fits good with the band's music, however I found it seems his tone is too flat and doesn't really sings his heart out. Another infuriating factor is Mille Wendel's drumming pattern which is too formulaic and monotonous in each songs. It's like they're putting a drum machine there and this guy is definitely their weakest link.
If you like ballads or softer songs, "Code To Your Heart" actually has a nice and tender melody but too bad, Kastenholt's singing style is ironically the weakest one here. "Love Is Strong" is a thick 80s-feel heartmelting ballad and is one of their best as well. With couple of fillers such as "Adrenalin", "Strange Request", and their worst one, "Neat Time", I guess "Cop To Con" is a decent record, not a really horrible album, nice to buy only if you find it cheap, and strictly for glam/pop metal fans.
