This compilation of early EP tracks and other material pre-dating Church of Misery's debut album (Master of Brutality) isn't quite as encyclopedic as some fans would like - they would have to wait a bit longer to get an official release of Vol 1, which the group had intended as their debut album but ultimately shelved for almost a decade - but it's a reasonable enough overview of the development of the band's style. It's crunchy, Sabbath-inspired purist doom metal about real-life serial killers, and if that sounds like the sort of thing you'd like, then you might find this a good value release.
