UMUR
"20:11" is an EP release by Czech Republic black metal act Cult of Fire. The EP was originally independently released by the band in April 2011 and is available as 10" vinyl or as a free digital download from the band´s website. The tracks from the EP were also made available as bonus tracks on the Atomic Vision Productions/In League With Satan Productions tape version of Cult of Fire´s debut album "Triumvirát" in September 2012.
Now "Triumvirát (2012)" is a great album that both provides the listener with raw old school late eighties/early nineties influenced black metal, but also more epic and atmospheric moments. If you cut down on the epic and atmospheric moments (and ad a more raw sound production) and imagine what "Triumvirát (2012)" would sound like then, you´re close to the sound on "20:11".
This is definitely a good EP release by Cult of Fire and it has probably helped them kick in the right doors, but I wouldn´t go out of my way to get a hold of it. I´d most certainly recommend that you get "Triumvirát (2012)" first. Still "20:11" is a good quality release deserving a 3 - 3.5 star (65%) rating.
