The thing that makes Deicide's discography so easy to listen through is that most of them are only around 30 minutes long (their longest is 'Til Death Do Us Part' at 42 minutes). What they do in the album is what really makes it a should-have or a skippable album.
'In Torment in Hell' got a lot of slander by many metal critics. There are even some who speculate that Deicide made this album terrible on purpose to help break their contract with Roadrunner Records. I wouldn't say that this album is TOO terrible, but I would say that this is their weakest offering in their career as of yet. The musicianship is solid as it usually has been, but there really isn't anything here that really stands out. Some of the songs are really repetitive.
It's not as bad as some say, but it's not recommended to anyone.
