This is the only live FATES WARNING album they've released so far. This was taken from their 1998 tour of Europe and the recordings took place between April 16-26. If you like to hear the fans on your live albums you'll like this one as they are very passionate about this band. Some excellent pictures in the liner notes as well. This is a two disc affair with disc one being the complete "A Pleasant Shade Of Gray" album and i must say this out-shines the studio version in my opinion. A very impressive display here with Alder, Zonder, Matheos and Vera rounding out the lineup. Disc two features the guys i mentioned plus a second guitarist in former FATES member Bernie Versailles and also keyboardist Jason Keaser. The highlight for me on this disc(and there are many) is Adler singing on "Prelude To Ruin" that Arch sang on originally. Man Ray just blows me away here with his higher pitched voice as he screams away. So many great tracks though on this second disc. This is a must for FATES WARNING fans wihout a doubt.

Excellent,

This might be the best-sounding live album I've ever heard. I always say that you can't truly "get" a band until you take in their live show. All kinds of tricks and cleanups can be done in the studio, but the bands who take everything to the stage and pull it off flawlessly, making it sound effortless, are the ones who stand above the rest. These two discs have me constantly in awe of the sheer technical skill and musical taste that they put on display. It might be better than the average studio release. More people should own this. You should own this.
