FIGHTER is a Christian AOR/hard rock group which I recently discovered from a cheap disc I get from a friend of mine who's been selling a lot of his CDs. I've read many good things about this so I decided to give this a go and based on first couple spins, I say it's a good one indeed, but perhaps don't hold up to more than five spins, and although nothing's wrong with the songs, I just think it's a safe decent style that won't lure you to frequently spin this.
If you know bands like IDLE CURE or PETRA, the style isn't too far off from those bands. 'Look Me In The Eye' is a nice opening track, featuring Amy Wolter on the lead vocal, the chorus is heaven, and instantly became my fave song here. 'Face To Face' and 'Star One' are ballads with the latter one is slower, but both are gems. They smartly alternate between male and female vocal but I think Amy's vocal is the real highlight here, however 'Nice Guy' is a beautiful tune with both vocals sound awesome.
The ballads here are much better and the strong part compared to the uptempo and I found at least 4 average tracks here. Other goodies that you might want to check are 'Do What You Want', 'Running The Race', and 'Radio Man'. The production is great, so even though I think the overall score is only around 75%, I think it's quite good and worth it especially when you can find it cheap.
