About this release
12" + 7" vinyl 2LP self-released 10th April 2020, limited to 500 copies.
Tracks 1-7 were recorded in late May - June 1990 at Red House Studio (Athens), engineered by Costas Stratigopoulos
Track 8 was recorded on February 17, 2017 at Feedback Sound Studio (Athens), engineered by Haris Zourelidis
Track 9 was recorded on January 24, 2013 at DSL Studio (Athens) engineered by DZ.
"Α compendium of all studio recordings by ΞΠ (Forgotten Prophecy).
Included are the 5 tracks released on Loony Tunes Records (UK) as a split LP with Mushroom Attack (NL) in 1990, plus 2 tracks from the same studio sessions that appeared in a limited edition "not for sale" promo tape but remained officially unreleased until now.
As the original 1990 stereo masters were lost for good, these 7 tracks were re-mixed by DZ from the original multi-track tapes that were transferred to digital format by FX Copyroom (UK).
Great care has been shown to remain faithful to the original mix sound as much as possible.
Included also are 2 recent recordings, the ΞΠ version of "The New Dark Age", another track written by DZ while he was playing with "Naftia" that also appeared in a couple of limited edition "not for sale" promo tapes in 1988 & 1989 but remained officially unreleased until now, and the 2013 version of "The Big House", re-recorded to commemorate the eviction of "Villa Amalias", the seminal Athens squat where ΞΠ played their first gigs back in 1989.
The vinyl release (limited to 500 copies) has also a 4-page insert with lyrics, photos & credits."
