Double-D
It's a bit strange for me to classify the new Halford album as thrash. What we have here is a classical heavy metal in the traditions of the early 80s, but of course with some modern influences. Actually Made Of Metal shows the Metal God in great shape and IMO is the best album he has recorded in the last 10 years. Forget about Nostradamus and Christmas album, Made Of Metal as the title says is 100% pure metal. Almost every song is memorable, there are no fillers. 25 Years is very emotional ballad, with epic chorus and great vocal performance by Rob. The big surprise for me is The Mover with Rob's high pitched vocals like in Metal Meltdown or ever in Freewheel Burning. The rest of the album is midpaced to fast metal anthems perfect for headbanging. Does a metalhead need anything else? It's hard for me to rate this album as masterpiece but it's surely one very strong record from Halford and is highly recommended to those who love Judas Priest and traditional metal.
