Like a hard rock attack...

Genre: melodic hard rock

Tasty retro hard rock with plenty of 70s references, Himora's "Argue All your Want" should have a broad appeal among fans of hard rock and rock music in general.

It starts out strong with the Aerosmith-inspired hard rocking tracks 'Just Can't Stop' and 'Like a Heart Attack' while the third track is more AC/DC oriented - but still with the Aerosmith twang that characterizes the entire album. With 'Birmingham', Himora continue down the hard rocking road - featuring a distorted bass (which also figures on 'Legend in your Lunch Box'), some nice guitar work and a catchy chorus - and a harmonica solo to boot. My favorite track on the album is probably the funky and groovy hard rocker 'Big Betty'.

But not all is down and dirty rock 'n' roll, and on tracks like 'When the Boys Are Back', 'Wings' (a tasty AOR ballad with some wee quirks every now and then), 'Fisherman's Blues' (another Aerosmith-inspired track), 'Summer Dress', and the funky 'Mexico Smile' Himora mellow things down to varying degree. Most of these mellower tracks are pretty good, but unfortunately they're all clustered together - had the hard rockers and these tracks been more evenly distributed throughout the album, I think that the general energy level would have seemed higher.

But in all, as I wrote in the beginning, this is tasty hard rock with broad appeal - and fans of Aerosmith should defintiely check it out.
