UMUR
"Burn One Naked, And Nuke It" is the debut release by US crossover/thrash/grindcore act Impulse Manslaughter. It´s an 8 track EP originally released through Freak Accident Music in 1986 in the US. Nuclear Blast Records reissued the EP in 1989. Impulse Manslaughter was one of the very first acts to be signed to the now very prolific Nuclear Blast Records.
The music on "Burn One Naked, and Nuke It" is filthy, raw and extremely aggressive harcore. The band play energetic, fast and with an organic feeling while lead vocalist Karl Patton delivers one of the most caustic vocal attacks I´ve yet encountered. That man is beyond aggressive. He has a screaming raw vocal delivery that sounds like he has just swallowed razors. The tracks are short, simple and very effective and the full EP is over in 10 minutes. "Burn One Naked, And Nuke It" is simply put the kind of release that´ll sandblast the skin off your face. The whole thing is packed in a noisy, raw and "live" type sound production that suits the music perfectly.
So if you like them raw, lo-fi and beyond aggressive, "Burn One Naked, And Nuke It" certainly applies. If you ask me, they don´t come much better than this, when talking about aggressive hardcore from the eighties and a 4 star (80%) rating is fully deserved.
