1967/ 1976
My first meeting with Journey was in 1987 / 1988 (I forget) with the album "Raised On Radio". A good band, interesting album.
In 2000 I bought this CDs that is compiled with 4 tracks. The first track is "When You Love A Woman", a great emotional Power/ Soul ballad. This version is great as the album version. But because this song is great. The second song is "Open Arms", a great power ballad that, in my opinion, is great as an Uriah Heep or Scorpions ballad. The first track is "Who's Crying Now", a good Rock song and nothing more but with good feeling. The 4th and last song is "Don't Stop Believin", a great Hard Rock song in AOR field and, IMHO, one of the best songs of Journey.
In this CDs the dominant figure is the vocalist Steve Perry: simply perfect and magnificent. Also the rest of the band is great but Journey is identified by all with Steve perry. And if you listen to this CDs understand the reason for this statement.
