This EP, for those who aren't regular followers of King Crimson, consists mostly of tracks that appeared on their 1994 full album THRAK. That album introduced the double trio version of KC: two guitarists, two bass players, and two drummers. I love every incarnation of King Crimson, and this EP Vroom is excellent. This may be King Crimson at their most aggressive, so metal-related is a very apt description of this music.
My favorite tracks here are "Sex Sleep Eat Drink Dream", "Thrak", and "One Time". I like King Crimson least when their music is the most unstructured, as it is on "When I Say Stop, Continue." However, that criticism doesn't apply to most of VROOM. IF you know the THRAK album, you already know most of these songs. This fine EP is still an excellent addition to your music collection.
