KMFDM were a different beast in the 80's, with only 1989's UAIOE really sounding that close to their success as an industrial metal band in the 90's. The debut was noisy and provided a blueprint for industrial metal, but What Do You Know and Don't Blow Your Top are unique industrial creations for the dance floor.
There's a great use of sampling throughout the album, with 'Disgust' being dominated by its interplay of meaty bass and sampled horns. 'Oh Look' also, though this is just a groovy bassline with a ton of different samples thrown in to make it interesting. 'What a Race' follows suit in some ways, but with some funk thrown in.
Syncopated rhythm is the name of the game here, guaranteed to keep a party going. 'Killing' has some of the best on the album, particularly at about 0.50 seconds in. The title track is one of the band's best songs, and one that'll remain in your head for days.
If you can't get into KMFDM's metal stuff and want something more electronic and club-oriented, you just can't go wrong here.
