KROKUS didn't cover any new ground with 'The Blitz'. They're on the eight album with this and it's basically a good hard rock album that pays tribute to AC/DC. The first song, 'Midnite Maniac', are among their most popular track, but also many recognize THE SWEET's cover, 'Ballroom Blitz', which also reminds me a lot to early VAN HALEN style here. This song is one of the highlight of the album, along with the midtempo radio friendly track, 'Our Love', and the energetic, 'Ready To Rock', but the best of the best is 'Rock The Nation'.
Despite the cheesy title, the glam metal riffin' with an anthemic chorus of this song blow any mind's away. Two poor fillers, 'Out To Lunch' and 'Hot Stuff', contributed to the low rating compared to other KROKUS' album, but I don't see it as a terrible album like some has stated. Even songs like 'Out of Control' or 'Boys Nite Out', even though didn't have the capability of climbing up the chart, both are still accessible and enjoyable to these ears. 'The Blitz' is quite reasonable at 70%
