Meliah Rage is an American Power Thrah Metal band. "Solitary Solitude" is their second Full-length and, in my opinion, is a good mix about Thrash Metal and Power Metal (Thrash for rhythms and vocals and Power for riffs).
The axemen Anthony Nichols and Jim Kouri are good, technical but not very personal. Stuart Dowie is a good drummer, even if his soul should not be damned, technically speaking. Mike Munro (vocals9 is a great surprise: I consider him one of the best Metal singers I have heard. jesse Johnson (bass) complete Meliah Rage line-up.
The music is a typical mix about Thrash Metal and Traditional Heavy Metal a la Venom (Power Thrash Metal) which is very biased towards the Technical Thrash Metal. It is striking that "Solitary Suicide" is an album very compact and with no moments that make a difference than others moments. Therefore it is difficult to describe the music, because it does not let colors. This music is not dry or cold. is only in the phase composition Meliah Rage have planned to use all the ingredients of the genre.
In definitive if Power Thrash Metal (and Thrash Metal or 80's Metal) is a genre that you like this is a good album.
