Genre: crust punk/death metal crossover
Take energetic hardcore crust punk and add a death metal sound and growled vocals, and then you will have Nuclear Death Terror.
"Ceaseless Desolation" contains four tracks which are mostly in the hardcore punk department with simple, but very energetic, punk riffage which surely inspires both moshing and headbanging galore. But there are some metal elements to be heard, such as some of the riffage in "Chaotic Alliance".
And then, of course, there is a cover version of Celtic Frost's "Morbid Tales", which is probably the most metallic song on the EP - but, Celtic Frost were also punk-inspired and their early releases have a distinct Discharge influence, and Nuclear Death Terror really brings for this more punky side of "Morbid Tales" and deliver a totally awesome cover version of this metal classic.
The vocals are brutally growled and suit the highly charged energetic music quite well.
Productionwise, this release is actually quite well produced - and especially the drums have a well defined sonic appearance.
