'On The Loose' is a brand new release by the Italian duet, PHOENIX RISING. Highly influenced by the AOR pioneers such as JOURNEY and BOSTON, I can spot that beautiful signature on the arrangement and in this album, there are several great songs that you want to pay attention first such as the opening tune, 'No Lie To Say', the second track, 'Written On A Stone', and the last song, 'Talk To You Later'.
Titta Tani delivered a nice drumming and a good vocal technique, however you can still hear the typical accent that most of non-English singers have. I also admire Caucci's solo play in most of the songs here, especially on 'Written On A Stone'. On the downside, there are few fillers here that's obviousley weaker than the rest, such as 'On The Loose Again' which suffers from an average verse, 'Mr.Dr' is a pass from me, and 'It's Up To You And Me' is another plain ballad that can live without.
The production is great and if you like some good and harmless AOR, I'm sure 'On The Loose' worth your time
