Secht are an obscure band that play 'True Narcotic Black Metal'. I assume by the sounds in this record that means they go out and do drugs in a forest, bring their recording equipment along and sit in a cabin making some creepy, oddball music.
That's a good way to describe this music. Oddball. It's basically unhinged improvisation, a bit like Abruptum, with better recording overall. Pressed as one 37 minute track, it opens deceptively with an errie accoustic melody, before a creepy voice comes in, and then everything starts acting up, demented screams and babbles of 'satan' (I think), gibbers and gabbers, drums kicking around here and there.
I don't know how better to explain it really, except there's eccentricity above and beyond most albums I've heard. I'd be very surprised if they weren't under narcotic influences making this. Overall, it's a mixed effort. Some parts sound really well done (maybe even planned?) despite how unhinged it is.
I can't really recommend this album to many people, but those who like black metal on the radically outrageous side, as well as a bit of Abruptum, you can't go too wrong with this.
