Vehemency
Two rehearsal tracks that appeared a year later in a more developed form on the full-length album Empty World. The sound quality is noisy, because it is indeed just a rehearsal recording. However, it is not necessarily a bad thing. While Empty World had a layer of reverb all over it, it is interesting to hear these tracks in their more organic form without any studio trickery.
There are more differences too when compared to the full-length. The songs are instrumental, and the second track "Inner Desolation" is less than half of the length of the final version on Empty World. Song-wise, "Karg Nordisk Vinter" and "Inner Desolation" are usual Svarti Loghin quality: although mostly being depressive, there are hints of joy and hope, which makes Svarti Loghin's sound so unique. Beautiful compositions and their whole musical style is something I've grown to love.
Rehearsal 2007 is not essential, but if you've enjoyed Empty World, you might want to check out how these songs sounded a year before the real deal. This is most likely sold-out by now though (my copy seems to be 69 / 75), but if you come across it somewhere be sure to get a hold of it.
