Unlike their previous, and admittedly joke of an album, THEORY OF A DEADMAN released their newest album this year.

Instead of country influenced sounds in their music, SAVAGES takes the old sound of their albums such as their self titled and GASOLINE. Even having musicians such as Alice Cooper play on the album reinforced the possibility that their going back knee-deep into the knell of metal music. A definite possibility that I'm honestly excited for.

The riffs go from heavier to more melodic in sound. Each song contains a decent mix of both. Vocals sometimes give us a sort of rap-like sound, which is not bad in this case.

Lyrics are tackling our society's problem with a very blatant and understandable style, instead of saying it in cryptic messages. For instance, unlike other song's trying to cover the same problem, we get a line like: (Sometimes it makes me wanna blow my fuckin' head off / Sometimes it makes me think the world has gone officially insane) from the 2 track 'Blow'

THEORY has always had a knack for explaining things easily without hinting anything, and they do it the best on this album.

To listen to some good old THEORY, this is a definite blast from the past for anyone. Go take a listen.
