I'm interested to check this one out because of Jules Mills. After his departure from WHITE WIDDOW which is a classic AOR band, I'm curious to see how he goes with TIGERTAILZ which is a sleaze-metal band. 'Shoe Collector', the first single, didn't really impress me much as a song. It's indeed a good track but not their best here. The anthemic 'One Life' is much better and I'm in awe with the barrage of riffs on 'Bite The Hand', the guitar solo is also sensational.
With 'Spit It Out', TIGERTAILZ try to play with a safer sounding track, perhaps a bit commercial or radio friendly. The verse is powerful but the chorus is a little weaker although overall, this one is still a strong track. 'Punched In The Gutz' is sadly the weakest track of the bunch, but it has so much energy that it might serve as a good concert song. Production wise, they did a fine job with this, but overall, they need more better songs, maybe in the next studio album.
