From the vaults...
Genre: NWoBHM
The rather strange name, Trappazat, was the monicker of group of British musicians, including Paul Britton from NWOBHM group Scarab. Trappazat was formed sometime in the eighties and recorded material for an album, which was never released... until 2012 when it was released as "From Dusk Till Dawn" on High Roller Records.
And this is really some good stuff.
Although the album was recorded in the eighties, it has mor ein common with the NWoBHM releases of the late 70s and early 80s. There are plenty of galloping guitars galore and rhythm/tempo changes as well as twin guitars (which is something I absolutely love). Check out tracks like "Breakout" and "1 am DOA" or "Soldiers" and "Possessed" for both NWoBHM- and Priest-references. The production is a bit fuzzy, but that is not a problem, especially not if we remember when the album was actually recorded.
If you like good old 80s metal, then this album contains some of the coolest obscure 80s metal you can find.
