Undead Creep is the self-titled debut release by Italian death metal act Undead Creep. It´s a 5 track, 14:34 minute long demo available on CD-R from the band´s Myspace. The demo has also seen a pro tape release through Unholy Domain Records limited to 100 copies.
Regardless of the band´s nationality the music on this demo is pure old school Swedish death metal worship. Production wise this demo sounds so much like it was recorded in the Sunlight Studio in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990 or 1991. Think the first releases by Entombed, Dismember and Carnage. So don´t be surprised if you don´t hear anything on this demo that you haven´t heard before. The quality is fortunately high, and the demo is certainly recommendable to those who can´t get enough of the style. Undead Creep are obviously good musicians and they are able to deliver their death metal with conviction and great energy.
So overall this is a good first release by Undead Creep. They lack a bit in the originality department to really strike a note with me, but when I´m in the mood for some good old Swedish death metal this definitely could be a release I would put on. A 3 star rating is deserved.
