"Malicious Infiltration" is the first demo recording by Slovenian death metal/deathgrind act Benefactor. The demo was independently released in April 1992. Benefactor formed in 1991 released this demo and then disbanded.
The demo features 15 tracks and a total playing time of 14:17 minutes. Most tracks are below one minute of playing time and only a few lasts more than two minutes. Stylistically this a simple, raw, and brutal type of death metal/deathgrind (because of the loud bass there´s also a crust influence heard), played by a band which are obviously in the very beginning of their musical journey...yes this is not the most tight performance you´ll ever hear. There´s some raw and morbid charm here though which makes up for some of the untight performances and the lack of distinct songwriting features.
The sound production values are relatively lo-fi which is only natural for a debut demo release, and although this is not the best sounding demo out there and the fact that recording levels vary between tracks, I can still appreciate listening to this (the vocals are pretty great and sick). A 2.5 star (50%) rating isn´t all wrong.
