CADAVER DISPOSAL was found in 2010 out of the ashes of the German band BRAINDEAD. "After BRAINDEAD had split up due to some legal issues, the band decided to reform under a different name in order to start again right from the beginning. Due to the fact that the band consists of great musicians (such as the former drummer of BELPHEGOR), they are really looking forward to hit stages everywhere possible.

The songs on 'Signum Gloriae' are the remains of the first album of BRAINDEAD, which was to be released by november 2010, but had to be cancelled due to those legal issues.

The band will enter the studio again in early 2011 to record another album with completely new songs, which will be released by NIHILISTIC EMPIRE RECORDS as soon as possible. The band is currently working on a new Myspace-Profile and a Homepage. If you want to contact us,

"Signum Gloriae" is a 6 track demo by German death metal act Cadaver Disposal. It´s the band´s first release. Cadaver Disposal used to be known under the Braindead monicker but because of legal issues the band had to change their name to Cadaver Disposal and start from scratch.

Listening to the demo it doesn´t sound like these guys are beginners either. The musicianship is solid, the production is powerful and the tracks offer up some really brutal and powerful death metal. While I wouldn´t by any means call Cadaver Disposal original or forward thinking in their songwriting approach, they are still a very convincing death metal act. The tracks are generally simple ( with a slight punked edge) but very effective. I like how the growling vocals are mixed very high. The aggression is in the high seat and the generally very short tracks prosper from this approach.

...so in a matter of a relatively short playing time Cadaver Disposal have convinced me of their qualities with "Signum Gloriae" and I´ll be very interested to hear a full-length album from these guys sometime in the future. A 3 - 3.5 star rating is deserved.
