Contravene was a crust punk band from Phoenix in Arizona, formed in 1999.
Contravene was, "an anarcho/peacepunk band with metal influences and political lyrics. We shared strong beliefs about equality, animal rights and (still are) strongly anti-racist/anti-homophobic."
Contravene disbanded in August 2005.
