Krash Karma are considered an industrial metal band, but I think that this partiluar album is more of an alternative metal album with elements from punk rock and noise rock - although there certainly are electronic elements in is, which are especially prominent in WTake the Money", "No Regrets" and the bridge of "Hole in my Soul".
I think that this album is quite good and offers some catchy, if not always innovative, rock music (there are some odd, but cool, guitar riffs now and then, though).
"9 Lives (1, 2, Die)" [einz, zwei, die], "Inside", "No Regrets" all combine simple, but groovy, riffage with catchy choruses, which works quite well I think. "Anytime" is more of a melancholic ballad of sorts and is, along with "Hole in my Soul" and "Comeback", is my favorite track of the album. other tracks like "Take the money", "Tears of Gasoline" and "The Void" are, while not bad, not that interesting to me (I do like the chorus of "Take the Money" though.
I think that "Straight to the Blood" is a quite good rock album, because it's mostly straightforward and thus easy to rock out to. There are plenty of metal elements on the album, but I still think that it will probably appeal more to fans of the likes of Marilyn Manson than to fans of so-called pure, true metal.
